Blessings of “Un”
Some of life’s greatest blessings are described with “un”
adjectives. Unanticipated blessing. Unplanned good fortune. Unexpected gain.
Unsolicited advantage. Unscheduled windfall. Unpredicted benefit. Unforeseen
treasure.
The problem is we can become so focused on the outcome we
miss the journey. Priorities get out of balance. External factors motivate us
rather than our internal value system as we seek artificial rewards. When we
become fixated on a particular path, we often miss the better way.
How do you live in the present and enjoy the journey instead
of being so driven toward a particular outcome? The secret lies in learning to
trust in some different “un” words: uncertainty, unknown, unattached.
In the graceful life, you open yourself to risk the unknown,
embrace uncertainty, and trust in the outcome by living into the divine plan for
your life. You remain passionate and committed to the process, but unattached to
a particular outcome.
Your calling is often found amid uncertainty. As you make
choices to align your will with divine will, you will experience a joyful
journey rich in blessings more extravagant than you can imagine.
All because of one other “un” word: unfailing love.
