Self-love
Enter into a personal relationship with God and discover the reason you are of value.
Self-love grows when you enter into a personal relationship with God and accept His love. Saint Augustine of Hippo said God continually tries to give good things to us, but our hands are full.[i] Moment by moment, you are given the opportunity to choose whether you will open your heart to grace. This means taking the risk to be more spiritually connected by recognizing your dependence on God and surrendering control to Him.
Grace penetrates the deepest pit.
When you allow yourself to be drawn into grace, you know God, not through knowledge but through a relationship. Pain from the past begins to heal, and you are transformed. Your love for God’s creation, including love for yourself, grows. This means you don’t try to earn God’s love, but accept it as the gift it is.
You are of value because God created you.
